About Washington County Historical Society

Since 1961, WCHS has been preserving the history of the people of Washington County, Ohio through the work of volunteers, the support of our members, donations, and the grants we have been able to secure for major projects. 

The purpose of the WCHS is to promote an understanding of the history of Washington County, Ohio by collecting, preserving, and making available to the public, that history, and its relationship to the region beyond Washington County.

WCHS is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, research, and scientific purposes. We are a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization
